Why Move to Lawrence, KS?

It happens to the best of us. Sometimes we just reach a point where we feel that compulsion to pack up our belongings and test the waters in a completely different locale. And why not? A change of pace (and scenery) can be good for the soul. If you’ve found yourself in a similar situation as of late, we’re here to help. With our selection of residences, plus our deep-seated love for the community in which we live, we want to share the reasons that answer the question, why move to apartments in Lawrence, KS? If you’re thinking about moving to Lawrence a great place to call home with bountiful amenities are the spacious apartments at Remington Square.

The town is a paradise for walkers and bikers.

Whether you’re just really into fitness or you’re all about reducing that carbon footprint, Lawrence makes it easy for you to get around. In addition to easily being able to walk and bike through the streets, there is a near-complete 22-mile trail (the Lawrence Loop) that circles the entirety of the city limits. On top of that, you’ll find almost 25 combined miles of biking on the Lawrence River Trail and Clinton Lake North Shore Trails. If you prefer to be on foot, however, head to the Baker Wetlands and Discovery Center, home to yet another 11 miles of trails, along with a ton of wildlife sighting. Whatever your speed, there’s more than enough for any outdoor enthusiast.

Schools are top-notch.

No need to worry about the type of education you’ll receive after moving. In the last few years, the Lawrence approved tens of millions of dollars worth of upgrades to all of its public schools, upgrading them to a standard that easily rivals any other school in the country. But if the private route is more your speed, you’ll have an array of options to choose from, including one Montessori school and even a college prep school.

It’s easy to get your art on.

Have an affinity for the aesthetically pleasing? Then you’ll certainly feel right at home with Lawrence’s flourishing arts and culture scene. The town makes it easy to introduce yourself into all of its offerings with Final Friday, a series of monthly events — including art openings — that pop up at venues all around town. Plus, there’s the Lawrence Arts Center and Theater Lawrence, two places that will fast become your go-to spots for all live and visual arts needs.

It’s great for a little brew-haha.

Terrible puns notwithstanding, Lawrence is home to a handful of noteworthy breweries. Free State Brewing Company has been serving up locally crafted brews since 1989. Today, they serve four flagship flavors, plus a rotating selection of seasonal and small-batch varieties. Lawrence Beer Co. is adjacent to the town’s arts district, making it easy to combine your affinity for hops and art in the same night. And new on the block is Black Stag Brewery & Pub; while it’s relatively young, it’s made a name for itself with a menu that offers nearly two dozen varieties of beer.  All of this just a short distance away from our cozy 1-bedroom apartment rentals
