JayLift buses, on the other hand, provide temporarily or permanently disabled KU students and faculty the ability to get to class or class-related activities. The transit system also offers a $10 bus pass for unlimited K-12 student travel over the course of a four-month period, i.e fall (September – Dec.), spring (January – April), summer (May – August). The program strives to encourage safe, reliable, and affordable student travel, while also promoting a more environmentally sustainable effort for the city.

Since 2013, Lawrence Transit has offered late night travel through their Night Line service. The curb-to-curb, shared-ride bus service supports any location in Lawrence and is available from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday to Saturday. Night Line rides must be scheduled in advance.
